Description
It is a quite interesting unit located in a charming, green and large corner of the village, partially surrounded by a lovely garden. This apartment can be reached by descending through a paved stones stair bordered with imposing rocks. You step inside the internal area by crossing a large veranda which keeps extending around the apartment, along an open terrace exposed to the sun, as far as the glassed sliding door of the bedroom. The living room is pleasantly arranged and very bright. In the kitchenette area there is a false ceiling furnished with several dichroic down lights edged by soft pink Venice glasses. Above the false ceiling a lamp has been settled to suffuse glints of light of a soft orange color. There is a sort of subliminal and evocative feeling of the sunrise/sunset moments. Further up one more lamp of a soft blue color spreads, against the ceiling, to simulate the brightness of the sky. Just below the false ceiling of the kitchenette a pantry/sculpture, which gives a marked personality to the environment, stands with an angle of 45 degrees, in respect to the living room walls, in order to get the best use of this service area. One of its sides is intentionally “cracked” to vertically house a certain number of ancient stones, characterized by fossilized antique lichens marks. These atavistic elements of the Sardinian nature have been selected and picked up one by one in an antique and remote area of the island. To highlight this particular design a silver lamp with oriented flaps illuminates, by a yellow bulb, the stones profiles to greatly magnify their reliefs. This cupboard has a frontal special design: the access door is fitted in a wall which seems “floating” in the air. The kitchenette has a special pale pink granite layer and the facing wall is tiled with characteristic lozenges and small square tiles, handmade and hand painted with ancient designs by the prestigious “Richard Ginori” national ceramics factory. The area below the cook top is protected by hand made solid and heavy wooden doors. In the living room there are 2 single sofa beds. Through a door, set next to the kitchenette, you step onto an access corridor. This small space allows you to enter the bathroom with a bathtub plus a wall mounted head shower and also to access to a lovely bedroom. The bedroom has a charming design: as side bed there is a fabulous and huge hand-made granite layer (10 centimeters thick), chiseled with a pyramid-shaped bit and all the furniture is made of solid woods with essential touches. From the bedroom, passing through a sliding glassed door, you can directly step onto the open terrace and the large flowery garden. It is so pleasant to linger on the veranda or the terrace and enjoy the fascinating view that can flow along the horizon, starting from the impressing image of Tavolara island up to the green valley and the surrounding hills.
